Wednesday Evening Study During Lent
Wednesday, March 20th - Wednesday, April 10th
As we observe the season of Lent, we look to grow in our faith and understanding of what it means to be Jesus’ followers. A significant part of being his disciples is learning how to be salt and light for our world with which we are often in conflict. Our Wednesday night study during Lent will be CULTURES IN CONFLICT with Ray Vander Laan.
How do you live in a culture where the worldview conflicts with Christianity? Learn from Paul as he presents his beliefs to the most powerful court in Athens and settles among the Greco-Romans of Corinth, who valued wealth and class, worship of multiple gods, and pleasure seeking above all else.
Join renowned teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan as he guides you through the land of the Bible. In each lesson, Vander Laan illuminates the historical, geographical, and cultural context of the sacred Scriptures. Filmed on location in Israel and Greece, the That the World May Know® film series will transform your understanding of God and challenge you to be a true follower of Jesus.
We will begin the season of Lent with Ash Wednesday worship on March 6th, and then on the following 5 Wednesdays
March 13th, 20th, 27th, and April 3rd, 10th, we will study CULTURES in CONFLICT with video segment and discussion.
