1st, 2nd, & 3rd John Bible Study
Wednesday, April 18th
Bible Study for April---1st, 2nd, & 3rd John are some of the shortest books of the Bible. Distinct from the Gospel of John, we often miss these brief letters, tucked away near the end of the New Testament. But the apostle John packs them to overflowing with God’s truth for us.
Comfortable Christianity often means a weak Christianity. In our Wednesday night study on John’s three letters, Dr. Tony Evans challenges Christians who have grown comfortable and complacent in their faith. Fellowship with God is central to our faith, and Tony walks through 1, 2 & 3 John to paint a picture of love, obedience, and truth that creates true fellowship with the Lord. And that true fellowship with the Lord, trains us for healthier fellowship with the people around us. In a world that often rejects Jesus, we are called to love Him and His people with a powerful and healing love.
This study emphasizes the importance of moving beyond knowledge to the real-life application of God's Word.
Please come on Wednesday nights during April (April 4,11,18 and 25) and join us for this study. The meal begins at 6:11pm followed by study at 6:45pm. There is a sign-up sheet in the welcome center, so we know how many to plan for. Please talk with Pastor Ralph for more information.
